B. Historical context of gender ideology
1. The general context
- Marxism.- It was an overwhelming wave that dominated everything. In the 21st century it has almost disappeared.
- Laicism.- A fierce anticlericalism that aims to impose atheistic religion. It continues active in the 21st century.
- The suppression of sexual rules.- It continues to grow with gender ideology.
2. Sexual rules before the 20th century
- Adultery, fornication, and illegitimate children have always existed. But people knew those behaviors were not correct. Hence it was said: 'he slipped up', 'he was cheated on', etc. They recognized what was wrong and tried to avoid it, even if they sometimes failed. And then conscience gave warning.
- Homosexuality has always existed too. For example, many centuries before Christ, in the time of Abraham, the Bible mentions the punishment of Sodom and Gomorrah where these sins — sodomitic ones — abounded. These behaviors have always existed; it was known they were wrong; and conscience protested.
3. Morality in the 20th century
- Theft sounds bad. But it seems that what is bad is getting caught; while if nobody is going to catch you, it no longer sounds so bad.
- Murder is still seen as bad. But if it concerns an unborn child — abortion — or an elderly person — euthanasia — then these actions are no longer seen as so bad.
4. The suppression of sexual rules
- Pornography spreads, increasingly savage.
- Fashion shortens clothing, increasing provocation.
- The idea spreads that 'if there is love, everything is permitted', which then moves on to 'even if there is no love, everything is permitted'. (In reality, true love does not do those things, but respects the beloved person and waits for marriage.)
- A point is reached where adultery and fornication are frequent, and conscience is stunned.
