A. The chaplet of Divine Mercy

1. Who is Saint Faustina Kowalska?

She is a Polish saint of the 20th century (1905-1938), who received from God the mission of spreading devotion to divine mercy. She wrote her conversations with the Lord in a diary. There the chaplet of Divine Mercy is explained.

2. Benefits of this chaplet?

In his conversations with Saint Faustina, the Lord taught her this prayer and insisted that she pray it.
  • "Oh, what great graces I will grant to souls that say this chaplet; the very depths of My tender mercy are stirred for the sake of those who say the chaplet. Write down these words, My daughter" (n.848).
  • "Souls who say this chaplet will be embraced by My mercy during their lifetime and especially at the hour of their death" (n.754).
  • "Say this chaplet that I have taught you unceasingly. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death (...) if they recite this chaplet but once" (n.687). The same mercy will be obtained "when others say it at the bedside of the dying" (n.811).
  • "My daughter, encourage souls to say the chaplet which I have given you. It pleases Me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the chaplet" (n.1541).

3. Which rosary is better?

The regular rosary is the prayer that has received the most praise, recommendations, and indulgences from the Church. This chaplet of mercy has also been recommended. Let us not compare, and each one should pray what they wish, striving to please God.

1. For the chosen with some vocation

"Neither do chosen souls understand the greatness of My mercy, and their intimate relationship with Me — there is a certain mistrust. Oh, how much that wounds My Heart! Remember My Passion and, if you do not believe My words, at least believe My wounds" (n.379).

"Let souls who strive for perfection particularly adore My mercy, because the abundance of graces which I grant them flows from My mercy. I desire that these souls distinguish themselves by boundless trust in My mercy" (n.1578).

2. For those who speak of divine piety

"Souls who spread the honor of My mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death I will not be a Judge for them, but the Merciful Savior" (n.379).

"To souls who spread the honor of My mercy, I grant eternal life, and their splendor will be great at the hour of death, as that of My mercy itself" (n.1075).

"When a sinner turns with trust to My mercy, he gives Me the greatest glory and I shower upon his soul a whole ocean of graces" (n.378).

"My delight is to act in a soul. I grant it graces beyond what it asks" (n.1146).
