Your desire is a clue

The deep desire for love, truth, beauty, justice, and eternity need not be a trap. It can be a sign of the direction your heart is made for. Taking your desire seriously does not mean obeying all your impulses. It means distinguishing the passing whim from the deep longing that can lead you toward God. Not all desires point to the right path. But the deep longing for truth, love, and fulfillment can help you recognize that your heart will not settle for just anything.
