Why is there so much religious hypocrisy?

Religious inconsistency causes harm because it contradicts the very thing it claims to defend. It is natural that it causes scandal and generates rejection. Yet an inconsistent person does not make the Gospel false. It can also be a call to look at your own life: not to judge the truth less, but to live it better. The mistakes of Christians hurt and must be corrected, but they do not make faith false. It is wise to distinguish between the Gospel and the inconsistency of those who do not live it well.
