They welcomed you before you could prove anything

Before you could help, speak, or return affection, you needed someone to feed you, protect you, and celebrate your existence. That basic experience teaches something we can later forget: a person does not begin to matter when they become useful. No family is perfect, and some stories are marked by absences or deep wounds. Even so, the truest meaning of home endures as a task: to create a place where each person is received for who they are and can grow without having to buy their belonging. Remembering this changes the way you live together. The child who fails, the elderly person who needs help, and the one going through a bad patch do not become surplus. Family love does not deny responsibilities, but it places dignity first. It corrects from the security that the bond does not disappear with a bad result.
