The secret of constancy
It is not doing a lot in one day, but not abandoning what is important.
Constancy is usually discreet. It does not impress like a spectacular decision, but it is the virtue that allows a good intention to endure through weeks, fatigue, and slow results.
Valuable ideals require time: learning, nurturing a marriage, educating, working well, praying, or correcting a personal defect. If you always depend on feeling motivated, you will give up just when the deepest growth begins.
Being constant also does not mean demanding a perfect version from yourself every day. On difficult days it may mean fulfilling a minimal, but real version. Returning to the habit, asking for help, and continuing with humility is worth more than starting from scratch every Monday. God also works in that fidelity almost no one sees.
