Repairing wounds begins by listening
Not all pain requires a defence; very often it needs truth and caring attention.
When someone has been hurt, the temptation is to explain quickly, justify oneself, or move on. But wounds do not heal just because others are in a hurry.
Listening does not mean accepting any accusation without question. It means taking the person seriously, acknowledging harm if there was any, and seeking real paths of reparation.
The Church and every Christian are called to be places of truth and mercy. Without listening, charity remains merely in words.
Key idea
Wounds are repaired best through truth, listening, and concrete steps.
Your challenge for this idea
