No one can answer your call for you

When a decision is frightening, it is tempting to seek someone who guarantees the outcome. You ask for advice, but deep down you want someone else to shoulder the responsibility of choosing. Good accompaniment offers light, asks questions, and helps recognize reality. It does not replace your conscience or promise there will never be difficulty. God calls a free person, not an extension of the one advising them. Owning your response does not mean being left alone. It means listening, praying, weighing things up, and finally saying in the first person: "this is what I must do." Vocational maturity begins when you stop asking for impossible certainties and respond with the sufficient light you have today.
