Living stone, not a spectator

It is easy to look at the Church as something others do: priests, catechists, volunteers, people who are more prepared. Then one simply sits back to receive or to criticize from the outside. Yet the Christian is not a spectator. He has a faith, gifts, a personal history, and a real responsibility. He can sustain, serve, invite, pray, listen, and build up unity. Being a living stone does not mean doing everything yourself. It means taking your place with humility and not hiding the good that you can contribute.
