Is the Church outdated?

It is natural for certain forms to change over time. But not everything modern is better, nor is everything that endures backward. The Church guards truths about God, the human person, freedom, and love that do not depend on passing fashions. Truth may make an era uncomfortable and still remain true. Tradition is not a mere collection of old customs. It is the life of the Church passing on a living faith across generations without becoming frozen in the past.
