Is God distant from creation?

God is not one more piece inside the world nor an anonymous force confused with nature. He is distinct from what is created, but he is intimately present sustaining it. That presence allows you to look at the ordinary with greater depth. Everything can remind you of God if you learn to look with faith. God is not confused with the world, nor is he locked inside it. But neither is he absent: he sustains what is created, and you can remember him as you work, contemplate beauty, or care for someone.
