How to work with excellence

Excellence does not consist in living tense or needing everything to turn out flawless. It consists in doing your work with attention, competence, and care, because what you do affects real people. Sloppy work almost always ends up falling heavily on someone. In the Christian spirit of ordinary life, work is not a parenthesis between important moments. There too you can seek God: studying better, checking a detail, meeting a deadline, or treating those who work alongside you with genuine respect. That changes the question. The human perfection within reach and love for God can meet in the very same email, report, class, or shift.
