How to discover your real vocation

Sometimes people imagine a vocation as if it were a perfect puzzle piece that has to fit all your tastes. But life is not discovered by constantly staring at yourself. A vocation becomes clearer as you learn to give yourself: in your studies, at work, in family life, and in concrete service. God often speaks through what is ordinary when lived well. A vocation is not discovered by endlessly gazing at yourself. It also becomes clear when you serve, do good work, pray, and learn to recognize which goods deserve a lasting commitment.
