Grace is not decoration

Grace is not a religious buzzword to sound pious. It is God's free help, new life, friendship with him, and strength to walk in a completely different way. That is why the Christian life does not boil down to behaving better by sheer willpower. It relies on real help: prayer, sacraments, and a presence of God that lifts you up from within. This is best understood by looking at Christ and the life of the Church. It is not an isolated idea, but part of a path: God draws near, offers his help, and calls you to respond with freedom, humility, and perseverance.
