God is not a distant idea

Sometimes God is thought of as a religious theory or an optional idea. But the question about God touches the core of life: meaning, truth, love, origin, and destiny. If your heart seeks a happiness that does not run out, perhaps God is not something added from the outside, but the deepest answer to that search. Christian prayer is not addressed to an impersonal energy. It is addressed to a God who knows, loves, and calls, and who has drawn near to us in a concrete way in Christ.
