Forgiving is not condoning
Forgiving does not mean saying that what was bad was good.
Sometimes it is hard to forgive because it seems that this erases the harm or leaves the other without responsibility. But forgiving is not denying the truth nor calling good what was bad.
Forgiving means not letting hatred be what rules your heart. It can coexist with boundaries, prudent distance, justice, and a slow process of healing.
Christian forgiveness is not weakness. It is a demanding freedom that begins by looking at how God has also forgiven you.
