Doubt does not invalidate everything you do
Going through an inner crisis does not automatically erase the good you continue to do.
The priests in several accounts celebrated Mass while suffering deep doubts. Their personal crisis was real, but the sacramental life of the community did not depend on their feeling perfect certainty at every single moment.
You can easily apply a cruel logic to your life: if you doubt today, feel sad, or find it hard to love, then everything you do is false.
Yet an interior difficulty does not render your daily duty, your service, or your prayer useless.
You need to address the crisis, ask for help, and seek the truth. Meanwhile, you can also continue doing the good that you recognize. Fidelity sometimes consists precisely in not destroying everything during a dark season.
Key idea
An inner crisis needs care, but it does not automatically turn all your good into something false.
Your challenge for this idea
Maintain a good action today that you were about to abandon simply because you do not feel it strongly.
