Christ does not compete with your life

Sometimes you might live faith as if Christ came to take away freedom, joy, or plans. But he does not compete with what is truly good in your life. Christ orders the heart so that you enjoy better, love better, and choose better. He does not take away life; he leads it to its deepest meaning. God does not compete with the true goods of your life. He orders them and gives them a deeper measure, so that you do not ask of them what they could never give you on their own.
