Can you live without God?

It is possible to organize life as if God did not exist: working, enjoying, deciding, and making plans. But the fundamental question returns sooner or later. Without God, many good things still exist, but the ultimate center giving meaning, origin, and destiny to everything is missing. The heart is left searching for a fulfillment it cannot manufacture on its own. Trusting that God cares for history does not remove your freedom. It allows you to act with seriousness and, at the same time, entrust to God what is beyond your control.
