Be the same person everywhere

You may have one way of talking at home, another with your friends, another at Mass and another in front of someone you want to impress. Adapting to each place is normal. What breaks you inside is defending different things in each one, depending on what suits you. Being simple isn't telling everyone everything or having no filter. It's having one and the same underlying truth: not having to hide one part of your life to keep up the other, or pretending to be what you aren't. That unity gives rest. If you fail, you acknowledge the inconsistency instead of inventing another version. And others know who they're talking to. You can have nuances, privacy and different roles; what you don't need are masks that contradict each other.
