At Easter, the Angelus changes its words
For fifty days, at midday, people pray "Queen of Heaven, rejoice."
Many people pray the Angelus at midday to remember that the Son of God became man. During the Easter season, the Church replaces it with another prayer to Our Lady, the Regina Coeli, which begins: "Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia."
It's like congratulating a mother. Mary had seen her Son die; now the Church congratulates her because he has risen. It's a short, joyful prayer that fits into a minute between two tasks.
Praying it at midday is a simple way of making sure Easter doesn't stay on Sunday but comes into ordinary days.
Key idea
A one-minute prayer can bring the joy of Easter into an ordinary day.
Your challenge for this idea
