You may not change the circumstances, but you can change your stance

Mark as read

Accepting an external limit can unlock an inner freedom you had not yet used.

There are realities that do not yield to your effort: someone does not change, a door stays closed, or the body imposes a limit. Continuing to hammer against the impossible can consume the energy needed to live what is actually open. Changing your stance does not mean calling harm good or ceasing to seek reasonable solutions. It can mean setting a boundary, asking for support, giving up controlling others, or choosing how you will endure a period of waiting. This freedom is less spectacular than transforming the entire setting, but it is deeply real. Circumstances stop completely deciding your tone, your bonds, and your relationship with God. You do not choose everything that happens; you can still choose how to respond.

Key idea

When circumstances do not change, freedom can work on attitude, boundaries, and personal response.

Your challenge for this idea

Faced with something you cannot change today, choose a concrete stance that protects your peace and the good of those around you.
