In every tabernacle there is Someone waiting for you, truly.
Faith tells us something tremendous: in the Eucharist, Christ remains truly present, not as a symbol or a memory. That means that in any church with a tabernacle there is Someone waiting for you, at any hour, just as you are.
You do not need to do anything special. Enter, sit down, be there. Tell him about your day, stay silent, ask, give thanks. Just as with a real friend, you do not need brilliant words: you need presence.
In a world moving at full speed, having a place where Someone always welcomes you is a quiet luxury. And you have it closer than you think.
