You don't need to be a priest to bring people to God

It is easy to think that bringing others closer to God is only for priests or very religious people, and that everyone else just attends. It isn't like that. Through baptism, every Christian shares in their own way in the priesthood of Christ: called to connect God and others. That isn't done with grand speeches, but through daily life: sincere friendship, example, a timely word, praying for your loved ones. A father, a friend, a coworker can bring people to God while remaining who they are. And it is not an optional extra: it is part of your baptismal vocation, just as real as that of the priest in his own way. A small and concrete mission, right where you are, with the people right beside you.
