You carry an inner teacher
You are not alone trying to get life right.
Making good decisions is tiring: you hesitate, turn things over, fear being wrong. Faith says something that brings relief: the Holy Spirit lives in you as an interior teacher. He does not leave you alone before your choices.
He helps you read what is happening, see what draws you closer to God and what pulls you away, and put words to your prayer when you do not know how. He does not usually shout; he speaks in silence, in that deep voice that recognizes what is good.
Learning to listen to him means making room for him: pausing, asking him, not always living at full volume. You have more help inside than you think.
Key idea
The Holy Spirit dwells in you and helps you discern from within.
Your challenge for this idea
Before a decision today, pause for a moment and ask the Holy Spirit for light. Then listen in silence.
