You bear a seal that nothing erases
You belong to Christ, and no mistake cancels that.
Through baptism, an indelible mark was imprinted on you: you belong to Christ, you are a child of God. It is not a title you earn or lose based on how you behave. It is right there, beneath everything.
That changes how you view yourself when you fail. Sin can hinder that seal from bearing fruit, but it does not tear it away: you can always return, because you never stopped being his. Before your successes and your falls, you are someone marked by God, and to that dignity you can always cling.
Key idea
Baptism marks you as a child of God, and no sin erases that.
Your challenge for this idea
When you feel like a mess today, remind yourself: I am a child of God, and that does not depend on my latest mistake.
