You already know the final exam

Mark as read

In the end you will be asked about one single thing: what you did for others.

Jesus told what the final judgment will be like, and it surprises by its concreteness: I was hungry and you gave me food, I was sick and you visited me, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. He does not ask about titles or achievements, but about what you did with the one who had least. And he adds something that changes everything: "whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me." Every person in need who crosses your day is, in some way, him asking you for help. The exam is not studied for on the last day: it is passed daily, with small gestures. There is no need to save the world. Giving food, listening to the one who suffers, accompanying the one who is alone, forgiving. Things within anyone's reach. You already know the questions; all that remains is answering them.

Key idea

You will be measured by the concrete love you gave to the one who needed it most.

Your challenge for this idea

Choose a concrete work today for someone in need: give, accompany, listen, forgive. One, truly.
