Faith

Why are there different interpretations?

Mark as read

Because not all readings stem from the same criterion.

It is normal for questions and nuances to arise, but not every interpretation is equally valid. Some come from a sincere search; others from ignorance, ideology, or a lack of unity. Faith needs formation and communion with the Church. Without sound judgment, it is easy to adapt the truth to what one prefers or half understands. Christian faith does not arise from an improvised and isolated interpretation. It is received within a Church that preserves, explains, and transmits what Christ entrusted to his disciples.
