Why does God allow evil?

Evil exists and hurts. It would be superficial to answer as though nothing were wrong. There are sufferings that weigh heavily and questions that are not resolved with a quick phrase. Christian faith does not say that God wills evil. It says that he respects human freedom and that, even from what is dark, he can draw a good that we often do not see at first. There is no quick answer that explains every suffering. Faith allows us to fight against evil, ask for help, and trust that God can draw good even when you cannot manage to see it right now.
