Who are you to Jesus?
You ask a lot who God is. Have you asked yourself who you are to him?
We usually pose the question in one direction: who is Jesus to me? Does God exist? What role does faith play in my life? They are good questions. But there is another, less common one that turns everything around: who am I to Jesus?
It is not a play on words. It shifts the focus: from examining God to letting yourself be looked at by him. And the answer of faith is startling: you are someone for whom he gave his life, someone he knows intimately by name, someone who truly matters to him, not a number.
Pausing to consider that, even for a few minutes, reorders a great deal. You stop looking at yourself only through your own eyes—your faults, your labels—and you start looking at yourself through his. And from there, life is lived differently.
