When you're criticized for doing things well
Sometimes criticism doesn't come from your mistakes, but from the fact that your work shows others up.
You make an effort, you do your part well… and someone criticizes it. Sometimes rightly, and it's worth listening. But other times the criticism comes precisely because you do it well: those who do nothing are bothered by those who work, those who do the opposite see you as an enemy, and those who do the same get jealous.
In those cases it's easy to get discouraged or join the fight. There's a calmer way out: keeping quiet when there's no need to answer, carrying on with your work, smiling and not giving that criticism more importance than it has. Even praying for the people who make it.
It's not about playing the victim or ignoring every opinion. It's about not letting other people's noise decide whether you keep doing good.
Key idea
Unfair criticism is no reason to stop doing good.
Your challenge for this idea
If you are criticized unfairly today, don't answer back: keep on with your work and pray for that person.
