What happens if you do not confess?

Confession does not exist to complicate your life, but to receive the forgiveness that Christ chose to give you through a tangible path. Sin does not disappear because you stop naming it. When someone constantly postpones confession, they can grow accustomed to living far from God or with a dulled conscience. Returning is easier when you return soon, with simple truth and a real desire to change. The key is not to use doubt as an excuse to stand still. A question lived well can bring you closer to God if asked with humility, if it seeks truth, and if it is ready to change something when it finds light.
