Understanding takes time

There are phrases from the Gospel you've heard a hundred times, and one day, suddenly, they tell you something new. The same happens with truths of the faith that for years seemed distant or difficult. Not everything is understood on the first try. Some truths need time, prayer, study and life to sink into the heart. Impatience can close off paths. God usually educates with patience, and you too need patience with your own process.
