Trust is earned in small things

Trusting someone doesn't come from a nice speech, but from many small signs: keeping your word, not repeating what is private, arriving when you said you would and not changing face depending on the company. Loyalty, both explicit and implicit, keeps relationships standing. When it's missing, even good gestures start to seem doubtful.
