You can also surrender your past and future to God
There are seasons you cannot control, but you can stop carrying them alone.
The past feels heavy when you replay scenes searching for an outcome that can no longer happen. The future feels heavy when you try to anticipate every risk to feel safe. Between the two, the present is squeezed out.
Surrendering them to God does not mean forgetting, improvising, or failing to make amends. It means recognizing that your story is known and that tomorrow does not depend solely on your vigilance. You can learn from the past and prepare for the future without letting them rule your spirit.
Trust becomes concrete today: asking forgiveness for something, resolving a pending decision, or carrying out the duty right before you. God also works with what you cannot undo and what you cannot yet see. Your responsibility fits within the present.
Key idea
Christian abandonment allows you to learn from the past and prepare for the future without losing the freedom of the present.
Your challenge for this idea
Write down one worry from the past and another from the future; then define the one concrete action today that is truly yours to take.
