Step into the Gospel

We often read the Gospel from a distance, like someone reviewing something ancient. There is another way that changes everything: stepping inside. Placing yourself in the scene as one more character, alongside Peter, John, and the people surrounding Jesus. It is not imagining for the sake of imagining. It is treating Christ as someone alive, who still speaks today. You see how he looks, how he forgives, how he responds, and you ask yourself what he would say to you if you were there. A short passage and a few minutes are enough. Read it slowly, picture it, linger there. The Gospel stops being a text and becomes an encounter.
