Solidarity without posturing

Solidarity as a virtue is firm and persevering; it does not depend merely on feeling pity for a moment. It seeks the good of others even if there is no photo, applause, or emotional narrative. It begins by working with loyalty, paying fairly, helping whoever is nearby, and not detaching oneself from common problems. Fewer grandiose gestures and more real commitment. A healthy relationship is cared for. It needs fidelity, respect, patience, and truth spoken kindly. When any of that is lacking, everything may look the same on the outside, but trust begins to wear down on the inside.
