Saying thank you once you have it
We ask a lot when we need something. And when it comes, we move on as if nothing happened.
We pray hard before an exam, a medical test or a job interview. And when it goes well, we move on to the next thing almost without noticing. The request was intense; the thank-you, barely a sigh.
The same happens with people: we ask a favor, they do it, and the "thank you" falls short or comes late.
Going back to say thank you costs little and changes a lot. It makes you aware of what you've received and turns a favor into a relationship. People who give thanks aren't just more polite: they live happier, because they notice everything that comes their way.
Key idea
