Revelation does not cancel reason

God reveals himself, but he does not despise human intellect. Christian faith invites you to believe and also to better understand what is believed. Faith and reason are not enemies when they seek truth. Revelation completes reason, elevates it, and opens it to what it cannot fully reach on its own. Reason and faith do not have to compete. If both seek truth, they can help each other examine different questions without falling into easy caricatures.
