Responsibility is not a punishment
Answering for your life is part of being free.
Responsibility feels heavy because it forces us to step up. But it also dignifies: only the person who owns their actions can answer for them and improve.
Always blaming external factors may offer temporary relief, but it weakens you. A mature person learns to say: this depended on me, this I can repair, this I will do better.
Discipline is played out in fairly normal things: the body, the schedule, and those small daily yeses. Often what matters is not spectacular: starting on time, cutting out an excess, finishing something, or fulfilling an obligation even when you no longer feel like it.
