Emotions

Repressing solves nothing

Ignoring what you feel does not make it disappear.

Repressing an emotion can work for a little while, but it does not order your inner life. What is not looked at usually comes out later in another way: tension, sadness, hardness, or outbursts. Naming what you feel is a simple first step. It does not fix everything, but it helps you stop living completely blindly on the inside. Repressing and obeying blindly are two extremes. Maturity consists in integrating what you feel into a life directed toward the good.
