Purgatory is serious hope

Purgatory is not a vague second chance or a senseless punishment. It is purification for those who die in the grace of God, but still need to be cleansed in order to see God. This unites hope and responsibility. God saves, but love requires a purified heart. That is why confession, reparation, and works of charity matter already, right from this moment. This question needs calm, not a simple slogan. Many doubts are better understood when you separate things: what faith says, what reason can see, what comes from personal experience, and what perhaps arises from an old wound or prejudice.
