Does suffering have meaning?
It can have meaning, even if it is not easy to see.
Pain is not good in itself and should not be spoken of lightly. There are sufferings that can only be looked upon with respect and silence.
Yet lived with God, suffering can open up depth, purify priorities, and teach how to love better. Not all pain is meaningless if it is joined to a much greater meaning.
Uniting pain to Christ does not mean looking for it or refusing help. It means not going through it alone and trusting that even a difficult season can open a path of love and hope.
Key idea
Pain can have real value when it is lived with genuine meaning.
Your challenge for this idea
Do not automatically reject what is difficult. Ask yourself how you can live it better.
