Does God control it all?

Providence does not turn life into a board game where God moves pieces without taking you into account. He sustains, accompanies, and can draw good even from crooked situations, but he has willed your freedom to carry real weight. That prevents two extremes. You do not need to carry the fiction that everything depends on you, but neither can you use trust as an excuse to disengage. Praying and acting go together: asking for light, working well, repairing harm, and accepting what you do not control. Living this way brings serenity. There is a part that belongs to you and another that you must hand over. Knowing you are a child of God allows you to work with responsibility without believing you are absolute master of the result. You do what is possible and rest in that God does not abandon history.
