Pray for the person ahead of you in line
Dead time can also be given away.
The line at the supermarket, the waiting room, the light that won't change. They're minutes that seem wasted and that we almost always fill with our phones or with impatience.
There's another way to use them: look at whoever is near you and pray for them for a moment. You don't know what that woman, that boy in a hurry or the man counting coins is carrying. God does. A simple "Lord, look after him" or a Hail Mary is enough.
No one finds out, and there's no need. But something changes in you: the person you were about to see as a nuisance becomes someone you've prayed for. And the wait gets shorter.
Key idea
Praying for strangers turns dead time into hidden charity.
Your challenge for this idea
