Peace is courage

Sometimes asking for forgiveness costs more than winning an argument.

Peace is not cowardice or an urge to avoid every conflict. There is a false peace that keeps silent out of fear, and a true one that dares to talk when it would be easier to attack. Being peaceful demands self-control, humility, and considerable courage. You have to admit mistakes, lower your tone, and look for a way out without needing to humiliate. Christ calls blessed those who work for peace. Not those who never face troubles, but those who walk through them with love.

Key idea

Building peace requires courage, humility, and self-mastery.

Your challenge for this idea

Ask for forgiveness today for something concrete if you know you hurt someone.
