Peace is built by encountering others

Mark as read

There is no real peace if no one wants to draw near.

Peace is not born merely from each person staying in their corner without bothering anyone. That may avoid clashes for a while, but it does not heal distance or resentment. Encountering one another asks for more: speaking without attacking, listening without preparing an immediate reply, finding common ground, and recognizing good even in someone who thinks differently. Christ does not build peace from afar. He draws near. That is why many reconciliations begin with a small gesture of courage.

Key idea

Peace requires concrete encounters, not just the absence of fighting.

Your challenge for this idea
