Patience prevents wounds
Many relationships do not break because of great evils, but through small reactions.
Patience is not enduring everything without thinking. It is mastering your reaction so as not to multiply harm. At home, in a couple, or at work, a one-second pause can save a conversation.
Being patient does not eliminate the need to speak clearly. But it allows you to speak from what is good, not from the irritation that wants to collect a debt instantly.
Loving well means treating the other as a person, not as someone you use to be comfortable, receive approval, or vent what you carry inside. Affection is needed, yes, but also prudence: knowing when to speak, when to keep silent, when to correct, and when to accompany.
Key idea
Patience gives love time to formulate a better response.
Your challenge for this idea
