If I cannot see it, that does not mean it does not exist

Positivism narrows reason too much: admitting only what can be measured leaves out thoughts, decisions, love, hatred, will, and many real things that no one weighs on a scale. Faith does not despise science. It simply recalls that science does not exhaust all that is real. Man is broader than his physical data. It does not help to dismiss this question with a quick phrase. If it arises, it can be a good occasion to form your faith better, seek advice, and think more calmly. The Church does not fear honest questions; what impoverishes is refusing to search sincerely.
