Not everything depends on you

In the spiritual life you can fall into wanting to control everything: understanding everything, feeling everything, solving everything. But faith begins by recognizing that God acts first. You do not have to discover God like someone solving a problem alone. You can open yourself to his initiative, let yourself be found, and walk with more trust. Trusting that God cares for history does not eliminate your freedom. It allows you to act with seriousness and, at the same time, hand over to God what is beyond your hands.
